I hope you ladies can help me. We are getting married in June 2019 and several people have said we should have a videographer as it’s the best way to capture and remember the emotion of the day. I have had a quote for £1500 for 1 camera (£2500 for 2) and that sounds a lot to me but am unsure what the costs are and whether it is worth it. I would appreciate if you can give me your thoughts on whether we should have one and if so how much anyone else has been quoted. We are in the south east of England. Thank you ????

Personally I'd would rather spend that money on a photographer my bridesmaids can take videos but let's be honest your pictures you can have on display everyday how often are you going to watch your wedding back? I'm all for wanting to remember the special day but you don't need the full thing recording special moments will be captures on video by your guests xx

I am just having a photographer as i thought about how many times we would actually sit down and watch the video.
But we are getting one of the ushers to record the important bits eg. vowels, speeches etc. for those one of times. but this will be costing us nothing!

I’m only have a photographer and will get our friends and family to record special parts and then edit them all together and make a lovely wedding video.
I’ve only been to 1 wedding where they had a videographer and that was 15 years ago. Hope this helps :)

I would of loved to have a captured everything on video however we have found it too costly as well. We are only having a photographer and like others have said, getting friends and family to capture the key moments on film.

Let me know if you find anybody reasonably priced, however the prices you've been quoted seem about right from what I've seen. xx

Although I love the thought of having a video, I am not planning on having one unless we have extra left over after everything else. I just think about how much I would actually watch it. Although I have heard a few people say it was the one thing they wish they had done looking back. There is definitely cheaper options to what you have been quoted but still pricy.

My mum last minute decided to get a video and said it was the best decision she made! We now have loved ones on video at her wedding speaking and laughing. It's priceless to her.

I am paying £1500 and so many people said they would regret it if they didn't have one. It will capture everything that you will probably miss. x

Thanks so much ladies, that is what I have been thinking! I think I’ll ask a friend to film the ceremony, that is the thing I want captured more than anything :)
Thanks again xx
