I’ve not changed mine but am going for a weekday wedding. I saw it as if we could afford a weekend wedding we would but the price was out of the question. You done the right decision:)

I would deffinatley recommend it. Our venue is now leas than half the price of the Saturday, the civil ceremony room hire is cheaper and even the registrar is less. Everything adds up and as someone pointed out on my last post the money were saving is a good honeymoon so it is best decision for us :)

Wish we could change it to a later date as it’s come round so fast, need time to save but think cutbacks are a must xxx

We did exactly this... brought it forward exactly 1 year... exact same date as we specifically wanted the date... but now on a Thursday instead ! xxx

For us it was only a small amount more to have a weekend wedding at our venue so it was justified. However I completely get it if it’s such a significant difference in costing, for some venues we looked at there was like a £3k difference between a weekday and weekend wedding. For us though there are teachers in the family and children coming and we wanted a September wedding so weekend was the only option in the end

We did ours on a Friday instead of a Saturday purely because we couldn't get a Saturday unless we had it a year later! Not many places in my area actually charge any less to have it weekday I think the registrars are slightly cheaper but that's it, i would definitely change to week day if it would save money though xx

I was advised by my venue to get married on a Sunday as things would be cheaper. They turned out to be no different in our case but we’re still happy with the date so a Sunday wedding for us 🙂
