No way! The earlier you start planning the more likely you are to get your first choice on everything.
Also venues seem to put up prices each year so booking early you normally get better rates :)
Enjoy it, its so much fun

I started when I first got engaged in 2015 and we are getting married next year :D never too early to start planning as if you book things early enough they are cheaper than when it is the same year etc. and you can get a clear budget in your head xx

I’m getting married June 2020, already got meetings for caterers and venues and hoping to put a deposit down in January. I’ve pretty much planned my whole entire wedding and have only been engaged for 2 months 😂 we are giving sparklers as favours to our adult guests and colouring books for our little guests (we will only give sparklers if their parents ask and supervise). Booking early ensures you get the date you want and for me 2017 prices :)☺️

I say start planning!! Exciting times! Advice would be to take out Wedding insurance though if you are booking and paying deposited for things- with it being a few years away if something happened like a company going bust, or wedding dress hop burned down etc you will have cover!!xx

If you have suppliers you want, or a certain band/venue then start now. We get married next Christmas and booked everything 2 years in advance. Got everyone we wanted, wouldn't have if we'd left it later. Only just got our venue though, all the Saturdays and almost all Fridays were taken already

I got engaged on 1st August this year and our wedding is booked for and pretty much all organised for 1st April next year. I didn’t want a long engagement and said don’t propose if you’re not prepared to get married yesterday 🙈

Everything is organised/booked/deposits paid etc, just a few things to sort nearer the time but we’re all organised 🙂

I think it depends what you want, how much you’re willing to spend and how much you can do yourself to keep the cost down etc. I can’t wait for our wedding, we’ve kept the cost down as much as we can, and luckily we have friends and family who have helped or are in the right fields so we’ve got great deals ❤️

It's not too early, you'll be surprised how quickly the time goes, but not everyone will give you this year's prices. Expect many to offer you prices with a year on year increase.
