Just wanting views on a shotgun wedding? We are thinking to surprise...

I like it. I just want to be married but have to wait until October 2019!

I think that’s really cool. Everyone will be surprised and at least you don’t have to go to all the hassle of doing a wedding also!.

Hi a shotgun wedding is a wedding where the groom is forced to marry because he has got the bride pregnant. But what you are talking about is a surprise wedding :)

The only thing I'd be wary of is if anyone would be hurt by this e.g. parents or friends who are excited to plan things with you. But you will know your family and friends and will choose what's right for you :) x

You must do what's best for you both. My husband and I got married 8 weeks ago with just our little girl and best man. Lots of people weren't happy but we done what was best for us x

Just take into account people may not attend the engagement party that would attend the wedding x

A shotgun wedding is when a bride and groom have to.marry when girl finds she is pregnant.

I think this is a good idea. As long as the people who matters turns up I don’t see it being an issue. It saves you the hassle of organising a wedding and family drama/input which makes planning even more difficult. Congrats and good luck xx

I was going to do this on my 50th but a family member got ill so we are doing it the right way next year good luck x

What you've described sounds lovely if it works for you.
If it's an actual shot gun wedding (because you're pregnant) then I'd be a bit more hesitant. Make sure the reason is genuine
