I would look at finding a venue and booking a date first and church or registrar whichever you are having. You will then get more ideas for your wedding and what you need from that point onwards. The venue may even be able to offer you some tips.

Venue/ budget/ Date then everything will fall into place after that.
I would also recommend writing a list of very important things to have- this helped us with the choosing of venue / decorations/ food etc

Maybe make a mood board/Pinterest of all the the things you are looking at. Maybe a theme will show itself which is a good start to planning once you have a venue

Hi find the venue first then check with registrar if date is available :)

Sort your budget and have a rough date in your head, when you've sorted budget look at venues and see if they have the date you are thinking for but also make sure the registrar is free then. Remember people do book their notice for the registrar in the year so you need to keep this in mind.

Set a budget and look around for venues. Pintrest is amazing for ideas!

Like most people have already said budget first then use this to start searching for venues in your price range. I would also suggest that the first thing you do alongside your budget before you start looking at venues is to make a guest list with your partner. The venues we’ve looked at have all asked us what our rough numbers are and there’s no point looking around venues that can’t accomodate your guests. Having an idea of guests numbers will also help you plan your budget.

The first thing we did was make a rough list of guests so we knew what size venue we would be looking for, we've set a budget and are working from there!! Make sure your ideal date is one of the first questions when talking to the venue as I've had to push my date back due to it being one of the most popular months (september)
