I was hoping to go wedding dress shopping with just my mum and my sister....

I was hoping to go wedding dress shopping with just my mum and my sister. My sister in law has said she would like to come along with one of my best friends, my other best friend wants us to go together as she is also due to get married. I really want this to be a thing between myself, my mum and my sister and would love it to be a surprise as to what my dress is like for everyone else. How do I tell them that I don't want them to help me pick my dress? Or do I just let them join me? Your opinions would be greatfully received ?

Just be honest with them and explain why, I’m sure they’ll understand

Just explain to them you want it to be a surprise for everyone and you want this quality time to spend wuth your mum and sister. I'm sure being best friends they will understand.

Just be honest - say you only want your mum and sister to see the dress as you want to keep it a surprise. You can try and involve the rest in other wedding related tasks and activities :)

Just tell her this is a very special moment for your mum, my dress shop I’ve booked in with has actually requested to keep numbers to a minimum. You can always take them when you’re going in for alterations.
It’s your wedding.
Hope this helps

I think you should be honest with them. (And this is why I bought on line so that I didn't have to disappoint anyone and anyway I hate clothes shopping of any sort.)
