We are looking to book a marquee for the wedding has anyone else done this...

We are looking to book a marquee for the wedding has anyone else done this for wedding and reception and any advice? We were hoping to put it in a scenic place and who do I contact to ask permission to put a marquee? Thanks everyone ????

I haven't done this but I would have thought you would just need to get the land owners approval. You wouldn't be able to have the ceremony there as it is a legal requirement to get married under a permanent built structure - but for the rest of the day it would be lovely :)

I’m actually doing just this for my wedding,
Look on website such as www.hireafield.com, I looked on here for inspiration and there are lovely fields that will accommodate your needs and in your local area.
We ended up going with a local farm house. You cannot just put up a tent anywhere tho, you’ll need to get the landowners permission. You also need to take into consideration where you’re legally going to marry (if in England and not Scotland) as you don’t want to travel too far.
Hope this helps 😊

Look online for venues/ fields to put them in.
Or speak to local farmers? My friend did this and they managed to get it a lot cheaper than a venue would be
