My Maid of Honour wants to do a speech at the Reception. Where would she...

My Maid of Honour wants to do a speech at the Reception. Where would she come in the order of speech’s? Also anyone know the etiquette for who toasts/thanks who in the speech’s? Thankyou x

I would say she would do a speak after you OH and before the best man. The traditional toasts are Father of the bride, Groom, Best man in that order but you can have more or less and change the order if you want to x

I was recently at a wedding where the ladies did the speeches and the men stayed quiet! Seems different countries do it other ways so why not change it to suit youself.

I think its lovely that she wants to do a speech.
Normally the groom does the Thank you's.
I would keep the Father of The Bride at the start and Best Man last. Then slot the MOH before or after groom.
You could even have the MOH do a speech pre dinner
But its your wedding and that might not be what suits you.

Hi, last!!! Best man, father of the bride, the groom and then anyone you like. My daughter had a video for all to watch as a surprise where they all did there speeches and a few very funny moments we were all crying it was so funny! Just the groom then did his last speech! It’s go at whatever go for it have fun x
