Yes asap! You need to give people at least a years notice.

You don't need to give people a years notice at all with the invites, you can do that with a save the date. It is advised that 3-6 months before the wedding is the best time to send the invites out.

You can send out save the dates now s- invitations are generally sent out 3-4 months before the wedding

I always thought it was 3-4 months before the wedding so that they don't get forgotten. It also allows for changing friends and circumstances.

I’ve done six months in advance purely because it’s a Monday so people need time off work and also a lot of partner family live in Northern Ireland so need to arrange travel etc

I think you should give people as much notice as possible. People plan things in months in advance e.g going on holiday, going to gigs etc. I personally wouldn't send out invites at 3-6 months. Everyone I know is pretty busy and half of people wouldn't be able to come.

I would send out invitations around 2-4 months beforehand and save the dates around 8-12 months before. Ive aaked about at wedding shows and checked online and this seems to be the rule of thumb they go by and i ahd a few providers who actually recommensed against sending them too early. We will send save the dates about 9-10 months before and invitations just over 3 months before as its a Sunday wedding. Hope this helps
