Who’s making their own wedding invitations? Has anyone done this? X
I brought a load from Hobbycraft and then added a ton of glitter and a few info tags.
The only thing that relates to our theme is the glitter (we’re trying to keep certain bits secret!)
I am making mine. So far I have just got the save the dates out and have ordered the stuff I need to make the invitations x
Aww that looks fantastic! I’d imagine it’s quite enjoyable!
Congratulations! X
Think my partner and I have decided to make our own too. Personal touch. Cheaper too! X
I'm bot but one of our friends is making ours, haven't seen a mock yet but have seen others she has made they look fantastic and nice to involve friends, feels more personal x
Hi my Mum is making our invitations and save the dates :)
We're thinking of making our own invites, we've got a cricut printer as we're quite crafty anyway so that would do most of the work x
Planning to - h2b does calligraphy on occasion so will do a master copy to scan & get printed, then add names to.
I really want to make my own but I'm a bit worried they won't turn out as planned x
I made mine x
Yes I made my own
My mother in law is making ours xx
Yes and it took ages, but totally worth it.
Currently sitting here making ours :)
We did. Well my husband did. It's a nice touch as no one else will have invites like yours. Xx
I made a video invitation https://youtu.be/teCFNUyahEk
I was going to but after we did the math it was actually cheaper to wait for a good deal on vista print so we did that x
I'm planning to just need to print information out and also buy little bits x
I did for our handfasting and our wedding x everyone commented on them x
Got all my cards and decorations for them for less than £30 and just been quoted £5 to have inserts printed, I don't think that's bad going.
I made my own this week. Just bought glitter card and good quality paper.
They took a while to do, but everyone’s comments about how nice they were made it worth it and they were definitely cheaper than ordering from a company
Yep I’m making mine - pics of the prototype in the comments
Awww I’m doing practice ones at the moment to get the perfect invitation x good luck girlies
All your invitations look amazing! X well done!
we did my mum got the card of ebay and used lace of her wedding dress these were ours
Got hallmark disc.found what I wanted and with e help of my daughter who is better on computers then me sorted what we wanted.sorry no pics.x
If I hadn’t already sent mine I would have 100% used ourweddingteatowel.co.uk so original x
We're planning to
We've made all our own invitations for £40!
I’m making mine
This is he front of ours
And the inside
Me x
I did and I loved it. Took a while and saved us hundreds!
Me I'm making mine and order of service
http://www.cardsandpockets.com/freeweddinginvitationtemplates.aspx We printed ours for free from this website. We were able to customise the colour and everything! I used the Banner design and glued the invitation to the inside of a wallet and the other side I stapled the RSVP postcard then tied the whole thing with twine and glued a ribbon bow to the front in our wedding colour.
Yes made ours
Me and my sisters will be making ours, not sending our save the date just making invites, they are very creative and it’s a good way to make them involved x
We’re both photographers so we sent out our invites as 35mm film rolls
We are :)
Yes - I got card from Amazon diamantés from EBay. I got my friend who is a DT teacher to laser cut the card into a doily
The were really lovely & cost about £21:00 for 100
i will be making my own invitations, will buy all the bits I need online and then put it all together myself. I'm going for a folded wallet style invitation so I can put any extra info like; venue directions, menu choices, RSPV etc. I found a couple tutorials online and it seems eay enough to do.
Did all my own from graphic design to construction. Particularly proud of the monogram running through all our stationary and it appears on our confetti cones, order of service etc.
I'm making my own but then I make cards and invitations as my 'business' so it's a kind of no brainer lol x
We did 😊
I made all my stationery. Absolutely loved them. Took every bit of patience I had mind you! Haha xx
I made my own, matching website, table plan, name cards etc etc
I made my own invites. It took a lot of time but was so worth it in the end xx
How are people printing these? On normal laser home printers?
We had a friend make ours. Xx
My friend at work made ours. We bought some high quality card, designed it on some downloadable software and bought the ribbon and plane charms from eBay. It cost £20 and they look great x
I made ours, took some time but saved £100’s with the types of invites we wanted x
I made our save the dates - cute idea from Pinterest that ties a knot when you open it
Also hand drew the envelopes
I’ve done ours- took a bit of time but was quite fun actually and definitely cheaper than the ones I’ve seen you can buy!
Yep I am
My wedding theme is based around crafts and plants, as it’s both of our hobbies! So I’ve found a very simple origami idea for the wedding invitation, found some nice paper and am printing and folding them myself. I do design as part of my work and I know how to use indesign and stuff so it has made that part very easy. I also helped my sister make her own invitations. They weren’t too fancy or perfect but they were home made and lovely!
Harriet Walden
I made ours - it took ages as I had inserts inside and didn't work out much cheaper than bought ones but it was worth it to get them exactly as we wanted
Im doing my own. Quite simple and easy really. We arent doing save the sates ir anything x
Yes we are. My oh is designing and then we are buying the card and printing ourself!
Wow these all look amazing my w2b and i are making ours to love the idea of making them personal haven’t thought about making a order of service xx
I’m lucky enough to be marrying a graphic designer so he’s done all of ours ️
We did, stressful but fun! My dad helped me!
I've designed ours on canva and then use printed.com to print them and then we are tying with ribbon xx
Vista print is great!
I’ve made a few different designs for myself and other people. The internet has everything and I’m in the design business so i have transferable skills!
I will be eventually when we decide a venue and time
I've made my own because I'm a tight fisted perfectionist. I have a dark fairytale theme and knew exactly what I wanted and wasn't willing to pay hundreds of pounds. They've turned out so well.
