An order of service is a booklet/card that allow your guests to see how your ceremony will unfold. It generally includes prayers, readings and hymms (with hymm lyrics). I think they are more common to have in church weddings (I don't know if it is an absolute must though). You do not need to have them for a civil ceremony, but you can if you want
