For the mummy brides out there. Once you have married and you have to re-register the children's birth certificates, even if you married their dad and he is named on their certificate. Does anyone know if this can be done on the same day as the wedding ceremony? I am going to ring and ask tomorrow but curious if anyone has actually done this.

It's something to do with them being legitimised by the marriage. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/222508/dg_176556.pdf

I think its seperate as births and deaths are a seperate department. You will have to book a seperate appointnent and take your marriage certificate with you. Thats what i was told anyway. I am in norfolk x
