@Memberquest We are getting married next October and went to visit a nearby hotel last night for guests to stay at. My other half thinks that loads of people will stay, but I don't think that many will. I was going to reserve 20 rooms just in case, we don't have to pay any deposits so I can always cancel some if needed nearer the time. Has anyone sent anything out with their save the dates asking if guests think they will need a room or not? Only thing is that STDs only go out to day guests, not evening. Not sure what to do for the best!

I asked a random few guests if they thought they would need a room and they all said yes. If your venue is reasonably far away from home I think you cn assume people wont pay for an expensive taxi and would rather stay. If you dont pay a deposit it doesnt matter if you over reserve. Better safe than sorry x

I have let people find their own accommodation - they're all internet savvy and can suit their own budgets.

I've made an accommodation list to go with my invitations. It's up to my guests to sort their own accommodation out then. I've done this for other weddings so sure it will be fine.
