Hi Lizzy. Just commenting so that I can follow this thread. I will also need dance lessons in this area, including Lancashire. Xx

We need all the help we can get, lol. We both feel very self conscious when dancing, until we've had a few and then its just embarrassing haha. x

My partner and I go to dance classes so we are feeling confident :) Our engagement party is next month so we will try out our moves then, and perhaps arrange 1-2-1 classes! lol

We didn't do this but we did hire dancers to come on and take over our 1st dance so we didn't have to do it. Neither of us really wanted to have a first dance so this was perfect for us. Out theme was 1920's so we hired 1920's dancers who then taught a little routine to the guests also. Was so much fun and so different to the norm. Went down really well with everyone.

My husband and I had dance lessons for our first dance, and enjoyed it so much that we've kept going! We learnt our first dance with a school called Village Dance Centre (based in Bowdon, near Altrincham) but we currently learn with Stockport Dance Centre, they offer private first dance lessons or group classes and are absolutely amazing, can't recommend them enough.

Me and my husband had an hr lesson every Monday for a year. We were foot perfect. But.... obviously there cannot be a dress rehearsal and it went terribly wrong. (Not that anyone knew what we should of been doing so we winged it.) My dress was very much the problem so bear that in mind if u learn a dance. Xx
