Hi I need help!! I always imagined planning a wedding would be easy how wrong was I !! I'm going to have my wedding in the Autumn I love all the colours and I want to incorporate the Autumn theme throughout the wedding. Where should I start? Should I sort the bridesmaids dresses out first or should I do flowers first I want it to all match Thank you :)
I think it would probably be easier to match the flowers to the dresses unless you are able to have the dresses dyed to a specific colour x
Would definitely choose bridesmaids dresses first as they are more expensive and it is easier to match flowers to them. I can't choose my flowers until my darling daughter who is my bridesmaid chooses her dress. Oh, the waiting.
Bridesmaid dresses first
Hi there is nothing easy about organizing a wedding, I would get the dresses first easier ti match good luck :)
Ooo! I'm looking at an Autumn wedding too! I'm going to have a lot of rich dark colours, lots of reds, greens and golds, Happen something like that for bridesmaids?
I used to be a wedding coordinator and when I got asked this question I would advise to chose your bridesmaid dresses first and then colour coordinate the rest of the wedding to go along with the dresses.
I started with the colour I was going to have then bridesmaid dresses and the rest after and it's all matching as I go as long as you know your colours you can't go wrong x
I got all my ideas of Pinterest- simply search autumn wedding and you'll get plenty of ideas!
Definitely bridesmaid dresses first. I bought various bits to go with my yellow colour scheme then couldn't find any dresses I liked. Ended up buying mint so all the bits I'd bought didn't go x
I have done venue and then my bridesmaid dresses and mine , I have a winter wedding package with my venue who provide pretty much everything for me including room decoration which saves me getting people in, Ive ordered my flowers aswell I’m having artificial ones so much cheaper I would recommend GroovyRuby’s if you want artificial .. Good-luck x
I am doing something similar as I am having an autumn wedding too!! I decided on a "primary" colour that my bridesmaids would be in. Then chose colours that would compliment that for flowers and center pieces. Also think about the invitations tying into the theme. My invitations are a lovely burgundy brown which matches the autumnal rustic theme I am going for. Let you imagination run wild!
Pinned my main colour, got bridesmaids dresses n then worked everything else out from there...we're getting married October next year and loving the planning so far! Good luck with it all and enjoy it x
Choses the dresses first
I'm finding it the same. A lady I knew was going to do the cakes but has said she isn't doing cakes anymore so I've had to find someone else. Also tried contacting a band I've seen and really liked but they're not getting back to me. The venue don't decorate so I'm thinking of how we can put up the decorations on the day.
I'm an autumn wedding too! I'm having these sorts of colours! Deep pinks and purples with silver!
Do the dresses 1st !! ....takes longer than anticipated to locate ones you can afford in the January sales & August sales to discover the ones you like .....
Im loving planning mine, should have become a wedding planner!! I bought dresses first x
Table decoration could be simple autumn leaves, add conkers on string for fun,
Just go with it! I’m having an autumn theme wedding next year and just booked things when I thought it felt right, got the venue sorted then the cake and flowers and then photographer - and have just bought the bridesmaid dresses, it doesn’t really matter what way you do it as long as it feels right for you! Good luck!
We had a flower consultation first so we could get booked in, then bridesmaid dresses, but will take a colour sample to the florist obviously closer to the time.
I have just had my dream autumn wedding (2 weeks tomorrow) & you couldn't pick a more perfect season to wed. I chose my bridesmaids dress first & then all the colours fell into place; think burgundys, oranges, deep reds & forest greens. I found that with an autumn wedding you don't need a lot of flowers, i used lots of autumn leaf garlands & pumpkins etc & it really set the autumn tone X
