Is it normal to pay deposit before seeing your contract for a MUA?

I don't know if it is, but I personally wouldn't... I've only paid deposits when I got the contract for all my suppliers. How can you pay for an unknown service? They can turn around and say you asked for something else.. Unless you know and trust said MUA I'd wait for a contract.

If you don't know them then I would want the contract but I am having mine done at my usual salon so would be happy to pay up front.

I don't have a contract as such with mine. It's just booked and I paid the deposit x
