I have my makeup trial this weekend, I’ve never had my makeup done...

Hi just say what you normally wear then you can tell her if you want it natural or more vibrant :)

I would get pictures of a simular look your going for. And tell them what you don't like too :)

I'd take pictures of how you normally do your make up with you because mine have always put more on than I would egg

I took pictures of what I was looking for and my MUA recreated the exact look with a few tweaks so it suited my facial features etc :-)

I showed mine some photos of what I liked and then just let her do her own thing. I absolutely loved what she did on the day x

Mine was great, she asked my MOH and I how we normally do our makeup and a few questions about our skincare routines. Then asked what we were wearing - I'm very fair skinned so she picked 'glowy' makeup in golds and corals to make sure my dress doesn't wash me out. My MOH is in dark blue so her makeup was much more bright and rosy. I did have pictures but didn't need them in the end as she got what I was after straight away :)

They'll ask what you want, and pictures will help, but I wouldn't knock suggestions either as they know what they're doing - ie I asked for brown natural colours, and she suggested more of a burgandy as it would make my eyes pop more plus it works with my colour scheme.

As everyone said take pictures with you, I have saved pins on pinterest of what I like.

My partners does it and she always says you need to be honest to male sure you get the right look you want for your wedding
