Looking for some advice please, I’ve been suffering with a really dry scalp for a few weeks now and have tried absolutely EVERYTHING to get rid of it, it gets worse when I’m stressed and I’m terrified it’s going to flare up around our wedding in a couple of months. Has anyone experienced this and what did you do to get rid of it? ????????????

I washed my hair everyday for a week straight with T-gel shampoo (no conditioner) My head has been great ever since. I use normal shampoo and conditioner every other day now. Hope you find a solution!!

Kelsey is spot on. T-gel is what my GP recommended to me when I had this problem.

Nizoral shampoo cleared mine and it was a mess. I had numerous infections until I used this.

Nizoral works wonders for me when I had an issue with dry scalp and waxy hair. I also started used head and shoulders as my main shampoo and I rarely get dry scalp at all anymore

Get some oilatum and soak in the bath with your hair under the water - I was on a drug that causes dry scalp and this was the only thing that worked

I agree with the nizoral shampoo and coconut oil. Tgel can discolour your hair. Nizoral is quite expensive to use regularly I'm using e45 shampoo in between which is also good. Don't shampoo with these and then put regular conditioner on your scalp tho makes it pointless. Just put it on your hair. Good luck xx

I suffer sebhorreic eczema. While T Gel and Nizarol have short term relief I found it didn’t deal with the problem. What did was switching to an SLS-free shampoo. SLS is in shampoo but also hand soap and dish soap (it’s what makes it foam) and is really drying on the skin, using it is a vicious cycle. I use OGX Argan Oil shampoo from Boots.

Yeah I get this too. The doctor prescribed me a steroid scalp rub which is really good but I try not to use too often as does destroy your hair.
I also use alphosyl shampoo, again it's not great for your hair but I find it works better than t gel for me xx

I would recommend taking a trip to your local LUSH store and trying their shampoo and conditioners, personally I would recommend Soak and Float and American Cream, I suffer from chronic psoriasis on my scalp and find LUSH products are the only ones that don't make it flare up and soothe it when it does, and I've had everything imaginable from the doctors and nothing worked

Lots of shampoos have silicone in them and this can effect the scalp. Try to avoid them. Might be worth trying Nizoral which doctors sometimes prescribe. I love the brand Swell - try the travel size set. It lasts ages.

I had this and used everything to budge it, even prescription shampoos. But all I use now is the L’Oréal extraordinary oil shampoo and condition and my scalp has been 100% better. Try not to wash it everyday and make sure you dry your hair, don’t leave it wet 😊

Try “Soak and Float” “Big” or “Seanik” from Lush. They’re my go to when I’m suffering from a dry scalp.

Yeah I always get the same exact thing when I'm stressed, or when the weather is especially cold! I use T-gel and I massage it in to my scalp firmly to get the blood circulating and I leave it on for a good half hour before washing it out. Try to tell yourself that you are guna sort it and it will be fine, the more you worry about it, the more stressed you will get and make it worse xxx
