Going to visit a venue tomorrow but it doesn't have onsite accommodation - so slightly stressing about it already. If your venue didn't have accommodation, what did you do?

Maybe look online at sights like Tripadvisor to see what accommodation is available in that area? x

We spoke to the venue and they gave us a list of recommended hotels. I then contacted those hotels for a package deal and found 1 that includes a shuttle bus for the guests x

Ask the venue for recommendations near by. They should know.

They should have a list of local hotels and may even have corporate rates for them. Often they provide shuttle busses too.

For me, it was essential that my venue had onsite accommodation, so we kept looking until we found the right place. It just so happens that there is also another hotel close by for anyone who doesn't want to stay at our venue. If you love the venue ask them for recommendations, if you aren't sure, keep looking.

We visited one and they provided a list of local accommodations, and you tend to find they have deals with locals ones. Having on site accommodation was a deal breaker for us but we still visited to get ideas and they recommended other suppliers, like a venue dresser in the area and a florist I hadn't heard of before.
