I'm getting some Irregular Choice shoes in a kitten heel style as I don't want to be too tall, they're so comfortable that I hope to last the whole day in them ... But I'm probably going to have some back-up Converse for dancing in the evening :) x

When I first wanted to wear heels. I got a pair and did the housework in them. This got me so used to wearing them

I would get a pair and just wear them around the house. You can also get gel inserts to help cushion your feet x

Thank you so much for your comments I don’t want to be to tall as I’m tall already x

Kitten heels are great or block love irregular choice shoes. Because they're little different. You could have flat but have some sparkle or something one to match dress for something diffetent

I have arthritis in my foot so can't wear heels. I wanted to wear blingy trainers but everyone said NO lol! So I've chosen lace ballerinas and got some sparkly shoe clips to fix on them

I am going for something different.. custom made little mermaid sparkly shoes... (my little bit of quirkyness... my daughter thinks it's her wedding and a touch of Princess is added through out) xxx

I wear trainers on a daily basis, I'm not a heels sort of person normally. I got my wedding shoes from the rainbow Club - they have a nice selection of different styles, they can be dyed any colour you like and are really padded inside for comfort. I kept mine on all day, as heeled shoes go, they are the comfiest ones I've ever worn :-)

If you want to get used to wearing heels and not be in pain, the only way to do it is just by doing it. I started wearing block heel boots to work every day and now I don’t suffer in my big heels on nights out

Try wedges first to progress to proper heels that how I did it when I wore heels for my prom which was 10 years ago x

I cant wear heels since i nearly broke my ankle in 2009.. Still hurts sometimes. So i got low heals. Plus they are right height for my dress to just brush on the floor at front..

Ive got some sparkly heels (only about 2in heel)
Only I've injured my little toe and with 21 days to go I'm not sure I will be wearing them now

I had been wearing them around the house for weeks because I had to get a size too small as my size were too big on one foot

I wore a small heal at the church then changed into flats for the venue. They were the exact same design shoe so no one noticed and I was more comfortable for the rest of the day. X

Start small if you're not used to heels. Kitten heels or a short block heel. When you eventually get to high heels I'd opt for block heels they support you better and I find they don't hurt my feet. I sprained my ankle couple of years ago and my ankle has never been the same so I have to get heels that support my foot and ankle. Block heels are best. Xx

I got mine from house of fraser with padded insoles. They stayed on all day and all night and my feet didn't hurt at all even after the 6 hour reception! Don't waste your money on party feet gel pads. They don't work Xxx

Make sure you buy a quality pair of shoes. I usually find built in platforms (not necessarily huge but hidden within the shoe) are much comfier than ordinary heels. Also you can get some shoes with a comfort fit. I've splashed out and treated myself to a pair of Charlotte Mills heels but that's just because I love shoes and I figured if there is ever an excuse to treat myself to a designer pair then it's for my wedding. I fully intend on wearing them again though if going out for a nice meal etc so I don't see it as a waste of money.

Wedge shoes give a real good support.i will be wearing wedge on my wedding day as I will be in them all day/night.wear them in the house for a hour or so each day..wearing them for longer each day.that will break them in and mild them 2ur feet shape..also make sure u get quality shoes if ur not used 2heals..and remember high heals don't always have to be really high to look lush.. X

Just go for comfort. If you have a long dress it won’t matter. I went through 5 pairs on my day. Admittedly I planned to wear three anyway - I had my wellies for the ceremony, stupidly high but pretty fabulous for the breakfast and then a sensible pair of plain with a little heel. Memory foam, they were meant to be like wearing slippers. They very much were not. So then I had my backup comfy heels I’d worn the night before, but by dancing time it was trainers

I was told celebs wear a size bigger or half a size bigger and use the gel insoles without feet swelling in pain. Haha

Get a platform for balance or wedges, you get the height and look without the discomfort of trying to balance a stiletto.

Start with a small heal and make sure you wear them in before your big day so they have a chance to stretch rather the rub and cause more problems

I had a pair of irregular choice which were amazing, I wore them at home with socks on for a few weeks before the wedding and I wore them all day, the day included a lot of walking. They weren’t that high but because of the design I felt amazing in them and danced the evening away in them as well.
