Why do wedding packages have to contain a 3 course meal and how do you get around this as we do not like this idea?
Talk to the venue and see what they are willing to do x
They make most money from a 3 course meal that's why they do it. You should check with your venue what else they can do and ask if they can do whatever type of food you want. They should be able to accommodate you. So far the couple of places we looked at all did different things we liked even if we decided not to use them.
Like most things, the three course meal is the traditional wedding breakfast, so that's what they offer - talk to the venue, many will be happy to talk about alternatives.
