Hi was wondering if your members could help! I'm going wedding dress...

Hi was wondering if your members could help! I'm going wedding dress shopping and was wondering what is the right thing to do? Do you take your own drinks and glasses? Or is that just something that happens in films? Was just wanting to make it a special day. What did other members do on the day they went dress shopping to make it extra special? Going for food after etc? Sorry for all the questions ???? really excited ???? thank you

I wouldn't take any drinks with you. I think that's something that's just on films and TV. Go for a nice meal after

We were given glasses of fizz when I said yes to the dress. I don't think a bridal boutique would let you take your own drink and glasses in.

You may or may not be offered something to drink. Wouldn't take your own though. Go out after if you must

I have been bridesmaid 5 times and have picked my wedding dress and never been offered prosecco at a bridal shop 😓 id arrange lunch and fizz after to make your dress experience extra special cx

It's a special day anyway IMO. We didn't get offered drinks in the shop but I floated out after finding it, and we went for cocktails after

I found that most places will only offer you drinks etc if they think you’re going to buy, the only place we were given bubbly was when I bought my dress

My friend owns a wedding dress shop. She.offers a glass of bubbly.

The bridal shop Ive purchased my dress from gave us prosecco and little biscuits whilst we were looking and trying dresses on. Other shops we went to did offer water/tea or coffee and some didn't each shop is different. X

I've ordered my dresses from Lindy Bop and we're going to have to a trying on session with bubbly, then a sophisticated evening meal with just me, my sister and my oldest school friend and her mum.

I just went with my mum into a bridal and just trying on different dresses was special enough and when I found the one i went back with my mum and grandma this time and showed her as she was buying it for me, my grandma got so happy and emotional she bought my dress, veil and garter haha.... it wasn't a cheap dress I tried on either ... but the appointment which was only an hour was still special

Depends where you go dress shopping. We had fizz with some but not all! My advice is choose wisely xx

I think it’s more of a TV thing as I haven’t been offered any bubbly in any of the many shops I went to, but then I didn’t ask for it... I would have felt awkward to ask for something they might not offer, but I would have loved a glass of bubbly if they’d had offered it to me and the girls who came with me, especially when I finally decided for a dress. I actually was slightly disappointed it didn’t happen. If you feel awkward asking yourself you could get your mum or bridesmaid or whoever is coming with you to ring the shop and ask what the options are. In case nothing is offered by the shop your ladies could ask if they can bring their own bubbly as a “surprise” for the bride to make the day even more special for you. I think that would be hard to say no to :) Have a lovely time trying on dresses ️

We went to wed2b, no prosecco ordered but we were done within 2 hours and planned to make a day of it all.
We got the train to Milton Keynes, dress shopped, went for lunch and cocktails and more drinks 😂 great day with the girls and my mum and MIL
