Hi everyone! Im looking for advice about gift registry. We feel bad asking for people to give us gifts just because we are getting married and we don’t really need anything so we weren’t going to do one and maybe ask for contributions towards a honeymoon. However, people are now asking for a gift registry and ideas and we dont know what to do. What are other people doing with registries etc? Really need some ideas as I really don’t know what to do. Thank you for any suggestions :-)
We were going to do a gift registry with a couple of things on it to keep people happy and also ask for contributions towards the honeymoon and trips out on the honeymoon. You could try doing that? x
If you haven’t already sent invites you could put on there ‘your presence is the biggest gift but if you would like to then please help up with contributions to our honeymoon’ something along those lines
We have lived together for years and have most basic things. We don't want people to think they have to buy us anything but already people are asking if we have a list. I am thinking of starting some list at John Lewis and Debenhams so that if people ask I can let them know. Planning on choosing small things like silver picture frames and butter knives so that they don't need to spend too much or can choose not to if they want. I just want them to celebrate the marriage rather than get gifts but a gift registry does make it easier for them if they ask.
We didnt do a registry but did think of something we would want to buy. A nice dinner service. My parents are keeping a list and if anyone approaches us we are pointing them in their direction x
We have told people we would prefer money for a new house but some people want to get gifts so we've got a gift list aswell
