We are planning on a late October wedding. Just curious if anyone has used pumpkins as decor, but without making it look too halloweeny? I was thinking chunky glitter on them but not sure if I am going too overboard.

I am thinking the same! I am worried it will fit in too much with halloween but think the punkins are beautiful! Ahhh x

Spray paint them white or glittery, they'll look fab and can make great decorations! Can be good for flowers, candles and even a postbox! Attached some pics I found :) xx

That's an awesome idea. I found this one on Pinterest yesterday and considered using something similar for our top table.

You can have painted pumpkins, there are lots of YouTube videos on how you can paint them so they last 6months also you can put mouldings on them so they look more decorative before painting

I'm using munchkin pumpkins as my table centres.....keeping them orange and dripping black paint down them to look like wax

We got married 21st Oct 16, we had over 60 pumpkins! They looked amazing. Used them as centre pieces on the tables with flower arrangements in them. They didn't look Halloweeny at all. We used stencils (stars/hearts) to design the pumpkins for the venue area and also used a drill to make patterns then put candles in them for the evening. They looked fab. If you do decide to do it go to a farm and pick your own.

Perhaps you could use the autumnal colours of things like leaves and conkers to embellish the pumpkins, making the look more autumnal and less Halloween. Gold glitter would look fabulous!

We are doing an Autumn theme with pumpkins. It would only look like halloween if you carve them out!! Try sprying them different colours too.

I've been to a wedding on Halloween and they had their names carved into pumpkins. You could paint some white and add flowers to them and use them as a vase. I've added flowers to a pumpkin before it's really easy to do if you follow the instructions online.

I got married in June this year and had polystyrene pumpkins I sprayed them pink and rose gold and put glitter on them on top of a candelabra this went with my Cinderella/fairytale theme
My sister got married 29th October last year and used real pumpkins and plain on the table with the table number wrote on with a little ivy draped around it both different but both looked good
