Yes it's possible. Go into any kilt hire shop & explain your situation. My ex did this when he was best man for his brother. He was in Inverness & his brother was getting married just outside Glasgow. He got correctly measured up here & emailed the measurements down to his brother.

Where are you getting your kilts from? We got ours from slaters (in England). We asked if My husband uncle (in Scotland) could where the same kilt as my husband and fil. He went to a slaters in Scotland and got measured. It all turned out absolutely fine. X

Should be doable one of our ushers stays in Inverness and were Ayrshire he went in mentioned hubby surname and he was added to the list and measure no problems. Done at Slater's.

Where did you get them from? Our kilts are from Slaters. My H2B brother lives in England and the rest in Scotland. He will be able to go into Slaters in England and get measured for the same kilts. I’m also sure when H2B brother got married he got his kilts from Debenhams and my H2B was able to go into a store in Scotland to be measured.

Send his sizes to the hire shop. Phone shop to ask what sizes are required then get out the tape measure.

We used Slaters and once we had picked what we were going with, we gave them a list of names and ages, and they turned up to their local stores, where it was all on the computer system, measurements then taken, then back at a later date to make sure everything fits x You can either return all together too, or wherever they were collected from x
