Hello all, what are you all doing with your veils? Are you having your dad's lift it when you get to your groom or are you getting your groom (then husband eeeek) to do it before the kiss? X

I never had mine covering my face. I had a cathedral length veil that had diamantes all over it so mine was more for look than traditionalism. But i did consider wearing it "properly". I considered both options but i also thought that id get annoyed with it at some point during the ceremony and remove it myself. Lol! Xxx

I had mine lifted by my chief bridesmaid (my sister) when I got to the alter.

Either option makes me cringe...the veil represents the brides purity and the lifting of it is presenting your virginity to your new husband (yuck!!) I won't be wearing a veil for that reason and also because it looked silly with my short hair. I guess the traditional meaning doesnt matter any more though so you can do what you want...I just thought it was too cringe xD

My veil won't be covering my face therefore don't need anyone lifting it for me. I'll be taking it off in the evening however

I'm not having mine covering my face. If whoever is lifting it doesn't "arrange" it properly afterwards it means it'll be sticking out at funny angles on your photos :)

I’m not having a veil! I think they are a tad out dated.

I'm not having one I think they are pointless and my hair is really short so would look ridiculous

I didn't have mine cover my face because I was worried I'd trip!

I think that traditionally the new husband unveils the bride, he sees her first x

I got my grandad to lift mine and wanted a little kiss on the cheek off him but changed my mind about the kiss at the last min as was too emotional. I liked my grandad lifting it as it was an extra little bit of him giving me away x
