I'd definitely recommend looking at DIY options for things like table decorations, invites, table plan etc. You can save so much money that way, and it's fun! Good luck! x

We were on a tight budget too and so I did everything I possibly could myself (or called in favours) really did help keep the cost down. Xxx

Invites off ebay. Ours were 99p each and they were amazing. Wed2b for your dress. I got mine from their rotherham branch. Cake we got off the shelf at m and s. We also went with a generic photographer, rather tgan a wedding specialist. Save loads and the prints pictures were amazing. Also us an independent for the florist. Cost of flowers were half that of a store. Pm me if you want the details of who I used as I am local :)

I'm on a really tight budget..we moved our wedding forward 2years so that my dad can walk me down the aisle!
I managed to get my wedding dress, 3bridesmaid dresses and my maid of honour dress (and a dress for my goddaughter) all for £230 using wish.com and jjshouse.co.uk they are fab sites.i tryed on dresses in a bridal store first so I could see what style I wanted.i am makeing so much of my wedding by hand..invites, favours and decorations. We're going for a hog roast rather then a sit down 3course meal and that's saved me hundreds! I say the best way is to shop around Hun..we're r doing r whole wedding for under £2000 and so far mines looks every bit as expensive as people spending thousands more..it is possible Good luck with ur special day xx

Invites off eBay for certain only have those you truly want at your day. I got married on Wednesday with only my husband and I, our little girl and our two friends as bridesmaid and best man it was perfect. Bonus I get to wear my dress again at our party x

Hair make up and nails can be done by college students! If you want something little like jars from Sainsbury's for 60 guests use the first shop online and get £20 off a £60 shop

Shop around for deals. Do your invites and table decorations yourself. Look for offers on Groupon for your area.

All the flowers but my bouquet are going to be fake due to my fiance, MOH and one of my bridesmaids having really bad allergies and that is saving us a fortune. Got my fake flowers from Wish thats been mentioned above you can save a lot if you do a lot yourself like people have said. Also look for simple things like our favours are going to be just personalised squares of chocolate and off Ebay theyll be less than £20 for over 70 guests. We are also planning on having a home made sweet cart. Ebay have sets of jars with tongs and scoops included for around £17 and wholesalers like Macro do sweets for good prices and you dont need a card to order online. You can save a lot of money if you try xx

I got my dress from dresses by k's in rotherham for £150 it's up the hill from primark they have some stunning dresses in and the ladies are amazing! Recently went back with my friend for hers and they were just as brilliant and still as good for price and quality. Often you can also get college/uni students doing photography courses to do your photography too for quite cheap and gives them experience
