I wondered if anyone had any experience of having someone they know ordained online so they can perform the marriage ceremony? I'm not keen on having someone I don't know doing my wedding and looking for something more personal but don't know costs, websites or if its legit etc? I'll be getting married in Scotland. Thanks in advance :)
Best check with a registrar. I would think that someone ordained online may not have the official standing to perform legal weddings so while they may be able to perform the ceremony you may have to 'legalise' it at the registry office (which you could do with one of the cheap versions with only the bridal couple and 2 witnesses).
I would be dubious that it isn't legal. Check with the local registry office
