What are people's thoughts about wearing a second hand wedding dress?

depends on what the history of the dress is, I have looked at wearing family dresses from good marriages and altering them to suit me but it worked out to be too expensive so not worth it.

If you like the dress than why not. My mum asked if I wanted her veil but as my Mum and Dad got divorced I just didn't want to. She was happy with my reaponse. Also it simply doesn't suit my dress
