Me and my mum have been talking and she was brought up in a Roman Catholic family and is very traditional and has said it is bad luck to were your engagement ring on your wedding day unless you put in on your right hand. I'm quite superstitious and it's freaked me a little bit because it was my something blue. Is anyone else just wearing it as normal or moving it onto your other hand.

If I could I'd move it to my other hand but it won't fit so I'm not sure what I'm going to do, probably just slip it off when we do the rings

I've seen lots of people keep it on their engagement finger but I think I'll put mine on the other hand for the ceremony

I've never heard of that! You do what makes you happy. thw last thing you want is to be anxious about bad luck on your wedding day!

If it puts your mind at rest about superstition then do as your Mum suggests and put it on the left hand. Then it can still be your something blue. I think some people didn't wear the engagement ring on the wedding day was so that the wedding ring could be placed on the bride's finger easily.

Your meant to take your engagement ring off as the ring finger is only one with a vein to the heart

another option is to have your matron of honour hold it? xx
