Can you have a humanist wedding if you are christened? partner would join as member of the humanist group.

I believe you still need to do the register office thing (much cheaper if you literally just have the two of you and two witnesses) because I have read that unlike in Scotland, humanist weddings are not yet recognised in law in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It does need to be researched. Perhaps ask at the register office?

Yes you can, when your christened it's usually your parents choice.

Humanist ceremony can be done for anyone and you do not have to join the group but please bear in mind that this isn't legal!

Iv went with humanist and says on my contract it's legal and the registry office didnt say otherwise
