My family and friends live over 200 miles away and I work with all men so I've gone dress shopping alone. I've just explained that if I find the dress then I'll come back with my family to show them. So far I've not found the dress but I've found the shape that suits my figure. Good luck and try to enjoy the experience

Thanks everyone, I am really not a big shopper at all and with very low self confidence, I really value having another opinion there to help me find the right one.. I shall see how i get on though and fingers crossed it goes well :)

Yes I had to go alone, nobody was available and I didn't want the girls who are coming to the wedding to see my dress before the event. But to be honest with you I am better shopping alone anyway, you can just get on with it x

I ordered on-line from Debenhams as I didn't want to find I was getting confused with all the different comments. I was lucky first time and found what I wanted. Beautiful thing is that you can try in on at home and if it is not right you can return it.
