I've already bought my dress, it's ex sample so I got it home with me same day. I'm wondering when I should book in for alterations? It will definitely need taken up! I'm getting married June 2018. Also, it has a long train, what do I do with that for the reception? Tia x

Hi book at least 6 months before the wedding :)

There should be a little loop in the middle of your train that you put your finger through to carry it when you need to.

Some dresses have a look at the back and hook up onto your dress so would be worth a look to see if it has one.

You can ask the alterations people to put in a method of hooking it up for the evening - it could be hooked up inside the skirt, or outside to make a bustle, depending on what you think looks best. Bridal alterations spemcialists should know how to do this.

I was told 6 weeks before. And yes you can have a loop fitted to the end of the dress to hang over your wrist if it hasn't already got one.
