Maybe like a copper colour - that might be too close to orange for you though! You could always try places like Debenhams and Wed2B and look at their prom dress section? You might have more luck there!

maybe wait till new season range comes out, Debenhams have nice stuff in but it is mainly summer range atm however they will be getting new stock soon :)

Wait a month or so until the Autumn ranges are out. I work in fashion and burgundy/ wine colours are big this autumn, so you should be able to find something you like. Good luck and congratulations!

I was looking for a deep red for my autumn wedding but gave up because it was too difficult to find any good bridesmaid dresses. I went for navy blue in the end, turns out there's a lot more choice. Although it's not an autumn colour it's kind of a winter colour

Might be a bit early in the year yet for darker colours in shops. Have you looked on websites like Dessy which has loads of different colours?

We're getting married next October & our colours are emerald green & silver. Have whatever you want, it's your wedding day! Even if we were marrying in the summer we'd still have emerald because it's our favourite colour! Depends if you want traditional or alternative like us.

Not sure where you're based but I'm sure there were quite a few burgundy dresses at David's Bridal in Birmingham - they also have a website so you can order online I believe. Brilliant staff there as well
