Hi ladies, I was wondering what wessi g insurance people have and when they bought it as I have read that some places don't cover things you've already booked? Is it better to buy it before I book the venue? My wedding is march 2019.

Definitely get wedding insurance before booking stuff if possible. Check the small print to see if they don't cover anything already booked - most of the big ones will, it tends to be the smaller ones that don't. I went with WeddingPlan, as it was one of the ones recommended by Martin's Money Saving Expert as giving a really good level of cover for relatively cheap. Debenhams also offer wedding insurance and I've heard good things about them too :-)

Thank you, I'll ask the h2b to help me :) I did look at debenhams, but they seemed to cover less than John Lewis, but I haven't found any reviews for the John Lewis insurance. I haven't heard of WeddingPlan before, I'll have to have a look :)

I got John Lewis wedding insurance and pretty pleased with it.
It covers things I had already booked and lasts or 2 years.
You get a choice of what cover you want so that was good.
Easy to do online.
