Not sure what the weathers like in March but I highly recommend Sorrento in Italy - we trekked up Vesuvius, had a wine tasting and lunch at a vineyard on the side of the volcano, visited Pompeii and Herculano (the lesser known village which was also destroyed by a volcano!) and drove the Amalfi coast. Incredible holiday. Iceland would also be another good shout, as March is a really good time to go and hire a car. It's not AS cold making driving safer, but there's also still a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights. The other choice would be Morocco - you can go and camp in a dessert camp and climb the Atlas Mountains :-) look at Viator.com, it's run by Trip Advisor and it's a place you can book experiences and day trips for pretty much anywhere in the world!
