On average how many venues did people visit before they found their perfect...

We only visited one. It had been recommended to us by someone else and it was perfect for us.

Spent hours looking at websites . Visited two venues today and fairly certain we have decided

Spent weeks looking on the internet, visited 3 and went with the third one we visited ❤️

Had three lined up. Visited one and fell in love so booked it the week after xx

We looked at websites as we only wanted an evening reception. We only found one venue who offered the right package so viewed it and booked it x

We visited two. We narrowed it down to what we needed/wanted. We wanted somewhere with a lot of ground and gardens. Plus somewhere that would let us use our own suppliers. Eliminated venues buy amount of ground they had and prices. One was over £70 a head so that went on the scrap heap.

We went to see 5. Some places that we liked the look of had open days so they were a good chance to get a feel for it, but others we booked appointments for. We settled on the final one we saw- I think once you know its the place, you just know. Some people I know went to see one and just knew straight away!

Looked on loads of websites then visited 3 completely different venues. Make sure you write a list of things you'd like to check is OK for the venue and agree before signing / paying any deposits. X

I looked at 1. I knew which venue I wanted, went to look at it and didn't change my mind. The only downside was that they didn't have the license to do the ceremony there anymore so we have to go to the registry office first but it's worth it to have that venue for afterwards

2. But looked at so many online. We initially booked to view 4 places but webt for the 2nd one we viewed. X

I decided the kind of thing I wanted from the venue and narrowed down from like 25/30 online then saw 4 in person

Same just one 😍 we knew where we wanted to get married before we got engaged x

I looked at 4, 2 hotels, and 2 estates

We officially saw 4.One we liked but was too expensive, one was priced ok but the staff were useless. The final 2 were both well priced with nice staff so we went with the one which had more character, and I know the manager and it's not part of a chain so they are much more flexible.

I spent hours and hours online. Narrowed it down to 5 estates/hotels and 2 village halls/barns. However, we just viewed the 3rd venue and i'm in love 😍 so we will look at 2 more because OH wants to compare...but we all know which one we will book at the end! 😍 and we only got engaged on 16th july 🙈

We looked at 3 places but stopped as soon as we found a venue we both said we loved straight away!

1 my actual venue I was always going to have it there even if I had to change the date lol

2, the one I thought we would love, we did, until we got into the room, the carpet and curtains were burnt orange and although actually set up for a wedding the day we looked, the colour totally detracted from the tables and centre pieces. The grounds and entrance were beautiful but the inside let it down, second venue was the opposite, grounds and entrance nice but not as nice as the first one, however the rooms were so much more beautiful. I looked around first with my mom while my partner was working and the booked to look again with him to make sure he liked it too. The second viewing was even better as was set up for a wedding so we really knew how it would look on the day. £2k cheaper than the first venue too

Between 10-15 ranging from halls for hire, abandoned churches, estates and finally our chosen venue.

I wanted to be certain and when I saw the one I wanted I knew it had to be there z

We looked at 6 but the minute we walked into the venue we went foe we then just hoped they would let us do all that we wanted and they did :-)

Just 1. We are very sentimental and knew we wanted to get married at the university we met. Beautiful venue, building and very personal to us.

Looked at 1... loved it and booked it there and then!

I looked at 2. Always wanted a posh hotel with nice grounds etc. The first one we looked at didn't seem interested in us having our wedding there so I wasn't interested in giving them my money. But I'm happy we went to look at another because the grounds were so much bigger and nicer. It also over looks a lake

Five. We started with our guest list and size ruled out a lot of places (just family and a few close friends for us is 150). Then we checked availability and that knocked out a lot more, which left the 5. I saw those with my mum over 2 days then shortlisted to two for my fiance to see and choose from.

Two but when we saw the second we just knew we wanted to get married there.

We had a few lined up as we are having our ceremony in the venue so we wanted to make sure we was 100% happy before we made a deposit, we went to our first venue and fell in love as soon as we pulled up outside! Xx

We looked at loads online, but only visited 2. The second one was perfect so we booked it straight away even though we had another two places lined up to look at! We were pretty constrained anyway - we wanted something accessible for all of our friends and family (who are all in London), but that didn't 'feel' like it was in London. We also had a pretty strict budget to stick to which knocked a lot of places out of the running!

I looked at loads online but only visited one...my view was that where ever you have your reception in the simplest form it's just a meal so does it justify spending thousands and thousands...ours is beautiful but not overly expensive and close to the church. The people make the day, not the venue xxx

Two. First one they couldn't be bothered, second one they treated us like royalty just looking - free wine and good look around without appointment, viewed one more after and didn't feel right so decision made in one afternoon. Each time we popped in we were treated like VIPs.

We saw 4 and booked the first one we looked at. We knew soon as we had seen it but we went to the other appointments just to compare before we booked x

I'm going to shortlist to view 3 and decide out of them unless I hate them all when I view lol

The one and only one we went to view, loved it straight away before we even got out of the car then it just got better and better :)

We shortlisted 3 but cancelled 2 after we looked at the 1st venue.

We were in love with a place... we visited but it was well out of our price range...
On the way home we saw a sign for a wedding fayre... we followed that sign and found our venue!!

We saw 4 🙂 and booked the 4th within an hour of being there! We just completely fell in love! i think when you find it, you just know! You definitely get 'that feeling!' xx

I had a few in mind but ended up falling in love with the first one I saw! You'll know which place feels right for you :-)

We sent off for brochures for about 12 places and narrowed the visits down to 3/4 places.

We went to see 3 first 2 looked amazing online hated them when we went 3rd one I was feeling here we go again as looked a bit rubbish online fell in love just driving there the views were amazing and the staff made us feel like royalty bought us drinks talked us through it step by step even told us not to bother upgrading as it wasn't worth it for what we wanted they were honest and so helpful x

We saw one and booked it. We got married at the weekend and it was the perfect setting
Go with your gut instinct....we did and all of our guests have been very complimentary x

Seems like our search has been endless..... actual viewings, I'd say about 20, if not more.... safe to say it's been stressful! X

I went to look at 5 - the one we chose is the one I thought I would pick from the very start!

After spending hours researching online we narrowed it down to 3 which fit our criteria- on the day we went to see them the 1st one we went to blew us and the competition away and it was perfect
