That's something you would have to ask the venue as some places include the bride and groom and some don't x

Yeah as Toye said, it depends on the venue. Our minimum numbers are based on adult guests, but for food children are counted (but they're cheaper). Bride and groom I honestly have no clue - hadn't thought of that myself! But I'm guessing we probably are? I should really contact my venue myself hahaha!

yes weve counted ourselves and told the venue how many children there will be for the reception and how many for the evening but we haven't included our photographer and any other suppliers who will be there yet

Yes you count yourselves in on food , chair cover hire, the amount of champagne needed for toasts. Children also should be included in the guest count as your venue will want to know numbers for fire safety regulations even if you are not including them on adult tables or feeding them the same food as adults

Yes you count all adults present, you count children as adults if they are eating adult portion but as children if half portions of their own meals

We've counted children as separate and not counting ourselves. So for example we've got 30 guests 3 kids

Yes we've counted ourselves x

Here at Buxted Park Hotel, we do ask that you include yourself within your final numbers of 'guests' that you're catering for. You couldn't have the happy couple without their delicious wedding breakfast on the big day! - Kirsty, Wedding & Events Coordinator

Yes as a venue can only hold so many you have to be included in that number

I guess it all depends on whether you want to eat, drink and have somewhere to sit down yes as others have said we counted x

I gave our venue a pretty broken down list...number of day guests adults including us (even wrote it included us on the email just to be safe) number of day guests children and the same for evening...then done an overall total for day and evening guests 🤣 but I did triple check with the venue with everything they wanted and needed...so tbh that'll be ur best bet x

Yes, yourselves, children- also speak to your photographer/ toastmaster .... you normally have to provide food for them too.

You'd need to check with the venue about the children. For example my venue doesn't count children under 3 (parents would be bringing their own food for the very young) but if the children are going to be eating the caterers wedding breakfast then you need to count them in the numbers.

We forgot to count ourselves for the food as we were so concentrating on guest numbers so much .... But suddenly noticed our slip up & added ourselves !! 😂😂😂😂😂
