I have 2/3 bridesmaids that could potentially be pregnant for the wedding.. they are not pregnant not but have plans immediately. I would have no issue with this other than I'm making the dresses myself and need them made/all alterations complete a good few months before the wedding. Ideally I need to start making them now (9 months in advance) because of my busy schedule. What the heck do I do? Would it be right to get another friend in the dress on the day if they do end up quite pregnant and can't fit in it? I wouldn't want to waste the dress.. but also don't want to offend anyone..

Oh that's a tricky one! I'd speak to them and just let them know the predicament, and let them know ahead of time that if they can't fit in the dress and alterations can't be made then you might not be able to use them as bridesmaids. Fair warning and all that jazz. Also ask them to let you know THE SECOND they get pregnant so you can try to plan! It also might be an idea to have something loose and flowy, more like a Grecian style dress so that there's room for a growing bump? Good luck!

Maybe try a dress with an Empire line so it won't matter either way.

I'd go with an empire line capped sleeve dress to support the growing boobs with a loose flowing skirt to accommodate baby bumps. alternatively a loose flowing skirt to sit over baby bump, and a ballerina-esque crossover bolero/shrug length top (as separates) that way if the bust grows more than expected it can be adjusted in how it's tied, and if bump is bigger only the skirt needs adjusting.
Good luck!
