Looking for advice, our neighbour is piping for us at our wedding? He'll pipe me down the aisle and pipe us both out. My question is do we invite him and his wife to the whole day or just the evening? What do we do about feeding him? Please no bashing, I'm really stuck on what to do.
I think it depends how close you are to him? If you consider them friends and go out for meals/socialise then can understand inviting to day do but if not maybe just the night do? x
Are you friends, or is it no different to hiring a piper and he just happens to live next door? If the latter then I would still feed him (doesn't need to be the same as your guests but you could ask your venue to provide him with a small meal). If the former then I would invite both him and his wife (if numbers are stretched then the wife can be just invited to the evening if needs be), because he will already be at your wedding and it would be awkward if he was asked to leave whilst you got married to then come back to pipe you out and then leave again. :)
