Hi I intend to invest in a body shaper :)

The dress I picked today I really don't need Spanx with (I'm a size 12 but looking to lose another stone) as it was very structured. I'm just going to invest in nice underwear x

It depends completely on the style of dress you choose! I'm a similar size to you and have those wobbly bits! My dress had a corset back so that did all of the shaping I needed. If you choose a less fitted dress then you might want something :) I'd recommend choosing you dress early and then you can arrange the shapewear you want based on your choice :)

I did just for the fact that I wouldn't be fidgeting with my pants all day lol. Comfy , stayed put and totally helped smooth the dress (and im slightly bigger than 14-16 )

I'm a size 8-10 but rest assured I have wobbly bits too, I'm still a pear shape. I wear Spanx regularly. If that's what makes you feel good then wear them! Nobody is going to see... if you want to wear something different for your new husband later on you can always change in to it

I was a size 16/18 with plenty of wobbly bits I got some Spanx to wear with my dress (especially as I wore them regularly anyway) but found I didn't need them as the dress held everything in place lol

I'm wearing anything I can get my hands on that will pull anything in. I'm a 14-16 too with kids so wobbly bits are inevitable

my dress hides my wobbly bits I'm a 16 at the min but looking to tone up arms etc my dress is an 18 but is well corseted. I'm wanting to wear nice bridal underwear, not wanting h2b to have to peel spanx off me 😉😂

I thought I was going to but tried my dress on with and without it and it looked and felt so much better without it. My dress is quite structured though so can get away with it. Now looking forward to buying some sexy undies instead!

Size 8 people wear shapers too!

My dress doesn't need it - it's structured with a full skirt! I intend to tone my arms up and lose a little weight but more about feeling good rather than the dress! X

I have a huge birthmark that sticks out (like excess skin) and I wore a corset princess dress, I've never felt so slim, didn't need anything other than normal knickers under it!

I found a dress that makes me feel size 8! It's a 14. No Spanx for me 👍🏼 it's all about what makes you comfy x

I'm a size 16-18 and my dress has enough support to not need them (usually wear them) so u might find you'll feel comfortable enough not to wear them.
I just wish they did some spanx for arms

I wore a bustier under my dress, I find they hold better than spanx it was fine all day

I am size 8 but I have loads of wobbly bits from weight loss! Most wedding dresses hold you in REALLY well (I bought a dress when I was size 24 in wedding dresses) but if you still don't feel 100% happy the spanx will work well. The ones that look like shorts from Primark do a great job :)

Ok I bought heavy duty shape wear I wasn't cheap as I have a funny shaped belly due to a scar only 12 inches and I am lopsided . Well I couldn't get the dress on with it on I had to take it off , didn't need it . But M&S magic pants are good x

You have to be comfortable. Its a long day! If you feel it would make you feel better then do it. If not then leave it. Xxx

Of course , Why Yes to spanx = thought stress of wedding planning meant you lost weight , unfortunately the opposite happened ..... After wearing it all day will be changing into go away dress & will change into something more pretty .....
Warm wishes .....

I'm a 16-18 with more than just a few wobbly bits 😂 but i didn't wear anything like that under mine. I really didn't need to as it was so flattering x

A lot of dresses really hold you in anyway so might not need it plus wedding dresses can be so hot!! So they might make that even worse

I'm a 10 and have wobbly bits. I wore a pair of high waist long thigh shapers out of next. They were nude lace and actually quite nice! They held me in and gave me a great shape. They weren't as expensive as Spanx either x

I was a size 12 until my wedding day 😂 I'm now 12-14.. was a bit of a squeeze that morning haha but since I've purchased spanx from b&m of all places ! So cheap and actually great quality. They're perfect for wearing tight fitting dresses as they smooth my wobbly tummy and muffin top down ! 👌 would have been ideal on my wedding day lol xxx

I am a size 18 and this was my second wedding. For my first I brought underwear I am sure was designed by NASA and I had a Teflon label on it. I hated it, it was not comfortable or practical. The second time, I chose a dress that suited by body shape, hid all the bits I didn't like and made me feel amazing. To the point I didn't need it or want it. In my photos there are no lumps and bumps and I am really please with them. I wore a lovely pair of suspenders and stockings and was my sexy little secret under my dress.

I did forget to mention, think about very tight pants/body suits, your dress - hoops/lots of fabric etc and trying to go to the toilet. I'm just saying!

I wore a control slip as very useful when going to the loo as after a few to many drinks trying to take off control knicks is a nightmare. Xx

I had a very supportive dress with boning and it came out at my hips so only write a little pair of bridal panties xx

I would say depends on your dress. I had a fairly sticky out dress so didn't bother in the end. It'll be a longgggg day so make sure you stay comfy xxx

Comfort is key on the day, it's too long to be too constricted, but I good bra is essential for shape and support

When we get married next year I plan on wearing such industrial underwear, my husband will have to cut me outta them if we're gonna consummate that night 😂😂
