Hi I would like one but our venue hasn't got the facilities for one :)

We're having a hog roast and I'm SO excited for it!

I've been to a couple of weddings with hog roasts. One was fantastic, the other was so fatty! I suppose it's a chance you take! Not put us off as we are having one too! Xx

We had one for our wedding breakfast.... Served with bread rolls, & salads. It was lovely. Everyone enjoyed it & could go for seconds if they wanted. I put details in the invites to say that was what we were having & to let us know if there were any dietary requirements, we served something separate for the vegetarians.

We had a hog roast and it was awesome!! We've had nothing but great comments from all our guests too. We also asked for veggie burgers for our vegetarian guests.

They're great at any event but I've had them at weddings before and they're great then too! Yes to salads and if you speak to your venue I am sure they will provide vegetarian options for you. Good luck x

We had one at our wedding went down really well. They did pasta, cous cous, quiche and salad some everyone had something they liked xx

I'm a veggie and I've been to lots - hog roast company usually provide a veggie burger option and you just let them know how many veggies you expect then salads and slides for everyone to help themselves to

Do it. But ask.reception venue if its ok. My son and w2b wanted one. Venue wanted £2000. If they got an outside company to do it. Hotel said they couldn't use hotel waiting staff

We had one and even raised our own pig from piglet, the hog roast guy now wants us to supply all his hog roast pigs!

I wasn't impressed when this was served at a wedding was just trays of greasy meat with bread rolls. Check exactly what you are getting!

We're having one. My cousin does it so it's nice to have a family member doing it. I have a couple vegetarian friends as well but the venue is doing a few nice salads and stuff as well for a little extra for them so should be fine. Love Hog roasts

My uncle had a hog roast at his wedding reception and it was amazing!! They had their reception at their house in the back garden with a live band it was brilliant such a great atmosphere and so laid back. X

We've got a hog roast at our evening reception ( 2 weeks today!!! We can't wait ) our venue is doing hog roast for 100 & veggie burgers on top, followed by wedding cake .xx

I would just say you never get much food. So make sure there are extras like salad

Oh my gosh yes if you fancy it and there is a veggie option then definitely take her up on her kind offer. Most people get excited for a hog roast, your guests should be pretty chuffed xxx

Can be nice but also can be fatty. Get reviews on who you are getting it from. Also make sure plenty to go with it so guests aren't left hungry if they aren't a fan.

My partner used to work for a company that did them. They are brilliant if it's cooked properly which sometimes isn't the case. My only advice is do your research before booking and the price varies alot

We had one. It was brilliant. They had options for picky eaters plus I had a small buffet set up as well

We had one for our engagement party, really great idea. Looks good and tastes even better! They cater for everyone who won't want it too

My friend had a hog roast and it was great. She also had other stuff for veggies. I initially was going to go with hog roast but have friends of so many different ethnic and religious origins I have opted for a BBQ instead with veggie options. So glad to see Vicki T's comment as that is pretty much what we have planned (but BBQ instead of hog roast).

We had a hog roast! Was the only detail my husband was concerned with they served potato wedges, salad and coleslaw with ours! It went down incredibly well- you had to get in there quickly xx

If the venue does them ask for food tastings? If you are allowed outside catering in why not go to food fairs so you can see for first hand what services you'd be getting/prices?

Hog roasts are great and they are a simple food option.

We are having a hog roast and everyone iv spoken to bout it are delighted! Iv never been to one but I'm guessing If I chuck some bbq sauce over it it will be like bbq pulled pork

I have been to weddings and parties which have had hog roasts and they are great. You can also provide other foods too, it doesn't have to be just that
