Same here!

Ours wasn't particularly geeky, but we had a few touches. Table names were superheroes, and our ring box was covered in superhero pictures from comic books (from etsy, I'll find the link if you're interested - they use whatever superheroes /characters you like). Plus our band was called The Deloreans!

We are getting married on 4th May 2018! Not having anything too geeky. Just a nod towards star wars.

We had a harry potter themed one. I feel like we will do a renewal at somepoint and have a lotr or got one lol

There will be Harry Potter influences in there. At the moment we have a theme for each table, Top table is Dr Who. Rest include Mario, LoTR, Harry Potter, Tim Burton, superheroes and Star Wars of course plus many others.

We had some Harry Potter elements, the table plan and place names, and we did broomstick flying between the meal and evening do ️

We're getting married next July but we're having a gaming theme. One of our ideas was to give wedding favours in bottles with either red (health), blue (mana), or green (stamina) jelly beans and a geeky label with a character on. We're also labeling tables by video game character.

I'd also love to hear other people's ideas!

I am getting married May 4th 2019! We chose it because it suited us as we are both star wars fans! (So my husband to be has no excuse to forget our anniversary either!!!) Thinking about having some kind of star wars themed save the dates but normal weddingy invites and maybe a geeky cake topper but that's it really :)

My fiancé is a huge comic book geek and collects comics, so we're having small touches here and there. Our save the dates are comic book covers, our invitations have small nods to superheroes on them, and our flower centrepieces are having just a couple of comic book roses scattered through them. My garter will also be Marvel, and we're hoping we can come up with a list of cocktails named after superheroes which our bar can serve on the day. We've also hunted down the woman who made this infamous cake - going for a tasting soon and hopefully booking her to make our cake!

My husband loves superman so we had theme tune to walk out of ceremony too and a superman tier to our cake and we had superman comic on getting cones and he had superman cufflinks

My wedding is next year. So far the table names are game of thrones great houses. Thinking of playing the rains of castamere during the speechs and lining my groomsmen up with some nerf guns lol.

These are fantastic ideas! And here I was thinking of putting motorcycles on top of our cake as we both ride but the only toppers I can find are with the bride as pillion. :(

I had a Shaun of the dead zombie theme wedding cake. My husband and I are big horror movie fans so it was perfect for us and it was done amazingly well. The bottom tier was a movie reel made up of photos of us and the bridal party were the zombies, we even added our cat as a cake topper lol :)

I'm having a Monty Python themed wedding. We're recreating a sketch straight after the ceremony with various related jokes throughout the day. Can't get more geekier than that!

We had a Doctor Who wedding with Dr Who wedding bands and a 10th Doctor impersonator which included a Dalek and the TARDIS 🤓

My hubby loves star wars so I did added star wars details into the day with out him knowing. These are a few if the things we had also had blow up light sabers for guests star wars comic confetti on the tables bought him a pocket handkerchief with star wars comic strip on and the wedding cushion was star wars theme too

Lightsabre battle?!

We had star wars theme to our wedding (5th aug) was subtle theme really but still enough for people to know. I made light sabre tie clips and cuff links, oh designed star wars invites, i did the rsvp cards, tables were planets and seating plan was star wars. Cake was amazing too as it was elegantly subtle. I did table scatter from a star wars book and tried to get words like vader, han, leia etc in the cut outs! Lol

We're having a subtle star wars theme wedding in 8 weeks time (eeek!!) so I got my invites on Vistaprint in the star wars font. Think they were birthday party ones but if u email them they can change it for you and get u match stationary so I got place cards with just a starry background and going to write in silver pen. The table name are going to be characters names. Cake had star wars touches on a traditional cake and the boys cufflinks and socks are going to be star wars. Also I bought myself irregular choice shoes with r2d2 on them.
My thoughts are if it's what you two want then do it! It's your day xx
