My partner is in the army, and the hardest part at the moment is trying to save a date and book a date as he is away a lot next year and we want to get married before he goes to Cyprus for two years (roughly November 2018) so I can go with him! Tough I know, any ideas that will save money and help us to get things going quickly!

Hi a November wedding will be cheaper than a summer wedding. :)

If the wedding is more important that the venue just have a church (roughly £500) then a rugby club or a golf club xx

You should be able to get some really good deals on wedding packages at venues if you have your wedding in January/February/March which are the most unpopular times of the year to get married.

I planned my whole wedding in less than 8 months! Book a date for next summer and get shifting!

Most places offer a wedding package at really good prices from nov till Feb and that will be most things included my partner in the forces so know how hard it is x

Have a quiet registry ceremony to make it all legal so you can go with him, then have a lovely Cyprus wedding ceremony and party out there for family.

Winter weddings are much cheaper, we save 2k getting married in march. Also might be worth asking if they do Army discount as lots of places will x

Hi I was in a similar boat although my fiancé isn't being posted to Cyprus, he's in the Royal Marines
We are doing a late package deal! Had 5 months to plan everything a lot cheaper and got the perfect venue for us!
Getting married in November.
