Personally, I think she heard that the REALLY cool people got engaged in October (like me) and she was jealous! Or something like that anyway. She's waited long enough for it- wow, can you imagine? A real fairytale wedding and she'll be a real princess afterwards. The 5 year old me would've loved that. The 29 year old me is happy with what I've got though.

I think it's a bit silly, me and h2b went to the local food court between my classes and had to watch nothing but 'Breaking News - Royal Wedding' for about 40 mins... it's not breaking news, it's more like gossip :P but at least it's nice news for once.

wow imagine having all that money to buy everything your heart desires. You could get ANY dress designer you want to sit down with you and design your perfect bespoke dress. And half the flowers in the UK will prob be heading for London that day. Bet her tiara will cost more than my entire wedding........

Im looking forward to this one - being an astute Royalist for many years I think its brilliant.
I love our Royal Family, i think they are a fabulous part of our country's identity and set us apart from many others.
People may moan about them, but behind the scenes they do a vast amount of work that goes unnoticed - folk often dont realise and are too quick to judge. But thats my opinion. Good Luck to them both :-)

I'm very pleased for them, but also sorry for them.
How many threads have we had on here with brides saying that their families are taking over their day? That would include me.
I would imagine that these two will have little say in the way their wedding goes. I hope, I really hope, that I'm wrong.

I actually watched the interview properly last night and must admit my views have changed!
they look so relaxed and happy in each other's company.and yes it seems kate has "big shoes" to fill with re: to diana....she doesnt' seem fazed at all and wants to just take it a day at time and in her stride..
gl to them and i really do hope that they get as much a say in their day as the rest of us normal people x

I'm happy for them and they make such a lovely couple but i can't help feel sorry for her. It's only been 24 hrs since it was announced and she's already getting compared to Princess Diana. Also, the ring..........as lovely as it is it's not hers!! It's not something that he's picked especially for her which i think is so sad.

OK i'm officially sick to the back teeth of hearing about this wedding now!! It's great that they are getting married and i am happy for them but please please please stop letting it dominate every channel. Enough already!! Yes, I talk about my wedding to friends and family but I don't keep broadcasting it on the local news or paying for front page spreads in the local rags!!!!!
