When doing YOUR first dance, Stay on the dancefloor for at least 3 songs. Your guests will gravitate towards you because they want to celebrate. This will ensure the best quality content captured.
When doing the Speeches, speak around 75% of your normal speaking speed. It helps keep you composed. When writing your speech, practice speaking it so it flows naturally too.

As we had a very small wedding, our main vision was to have a buzzing party after, where everyone would be dancing and smiling. Rob did not fail to deliver. In the lead up, his professionalism was faultless and his personable nature shone through. He was so well recieved, that one wedding guest has subsequently booked him for her 40th! In any future events, we will not hesitate to contact Rob.
Rob is so accommodating and professional, we had to move our date twice due to covid and this was never an issue, he was so helpful and caring and always put my groom and I first.
Rob was our DJ for the full day, which I am so glad about! We were so nervous before the ceremony, Rob could see this and he went out of his way to calm me down before I walked down the aisle.
Rob’s attention to detail is second to none, and he puts the fun factor into everything. My groom and I danced down the aisle after our ceremony, after speaking with Rob to play a certain song for us. Rob is up for every fun idea which makes the experience so much more amazing.
3 of our favourite moments happened during the speeches:
1. The father of the bride was having trouble with his braces falling down as he was doing his speech. Completely unprompted, Rob played the intro to “You Can Leave Your Hat On” and everyone was in stitches and dancing, it was absolutely brilliant!
2. My groom had messaged Rob without me knowing, to add a World Cup song into his speech which went down a storm with all of the guests!
3. We were expecting a lot of banter from our best man during his speech, so we made a plan with Rob to toy with the best man first. Rob altered the pitch of the microphone so the best man sounded like a chipmunk when he first started talking, which was hilarious.
We also had a glow stick rave dance, a confetti cannon during our first dance, and then the last song of the night was our first dance song with a little surprise from Rob - he added in a recording of my husband’s speech and played it during the song which was stunning.
I couldn’t rate Rob any higher. He felt more like a friend than a supplier, and he made our day extra special! It wouldn’t have been the same without him
From start to finish Rob didn't miss a beat. He interacted with all of our guests, moving from table to table to encourage them to share their memories about us, and the icing on the cake was the recording of the speeches, which is something we can treasure for ever.

Meet the Owner
Hi, I'm Rob Facer, the man behind the booth at Rugby Discos. I'm the man who'll be playing nothing but the best songs at the biggest event of your life (no pressure, right?). But before we get the party started, let me tell you a bit about myself! ? I Started my DJ "Career" at 16 on my first day of business College. I signed up to do a business diploma, and my new friend, Luke wanted to introduce me to his friend Sean; who was studying music. in the music suite I saw loads of turntables and music creation material and I was instantly hooked. I downloaded an application called "virtual dj" onto my computer and it took me 3 hours to figure out how to mix my first 2 tracks together seamlessly using a laptop mouse track pad. then I made mix- tapes from my bedroom for my work colleagues at Woolworths. I bought myself a mixing controller to make the art of doing easier Then, I went into making mashups online before I took the plunge at the age of 24 to take on paid work. A mashup is where you mix multiple tracks at the same time, creating something new and exciting for the audience. Since then, I've gone from strength to strength. I honed my craft in local nightclubs and pubs ; The Black swan or the dirty duck for the locals to Rugby, and Lloyds. Now I'm proud to have Eight luxury venues who trust me to deliver for their clients, as well as 2 really reputable agencies who allow me to wow their clients too. in 2022, I entered an industry wide competition called The National Wedding Industry Awards. this is a pay to enter competition where your past clients vote for you. I recieved a highly commended award for the West Midlands area. this has done nothing but give me even more motivation to make me a better dj, and as a result I've paid to go to seminars, webinars, bought books to make me not only a better dj, but a better host which only means one thing... better than what was already excellent wedding entertainment! With all that said, I am a family man.
