Preston’s Best Wedding Photo Spots

You may want to take all of your wedding photos at your venue and that is absolutely fine, but if you want some photos that tie you to the city you’re marrying in and some generally cool backdrops, pick a venue close to some of these spots…

Preston is home to an incredible 770 listed buildings so it’s no surprise that there is an abundance of beautiful spots that make ideal wedding photo backdrops. We’ve selected a handful in this article for you to use on your wedding day.

1. Sessions House

Built between 1900 and 1903, Sessions House is still used as a courthouse today, and its tower makes it one of the tallest buildings in Preston.

6. The Harris Library

Probably our favourite on this list, Harris Library looks almost like the Pantheon but also has a distinct Renaissance feel to it. It was built in 1893 and is still used to this day. It’s certainly a jewel in Preston’s crown.

7. Preston Cenotaph

The Cenotaph stands proudly in Market Square, dedicated to solders from both World Wars. This is certainly something to remember and what better way to do so than eternalising it in your wedding photos?

8. Miller Arcade

And last but not least, there is Miller Arcade. This was Preston’s first ever indoor shopping centre, designed on the Burlington Arcade of London. It even housed Turkish Baths! It’s a very interesting building and a great setting for some fascinating wedding photos.
