Got to love these delicious delicacies from Wales, and if you’re marrying someone from Wales, that means you’re marrying their Mamgus too who will make the best of both these foods.

3. Wake up every morning to this

Waking up beside a Welshman isn’t as bad as you think! You’ll get to enjoy views like this most mornings if you’re living in this great country.

Wales is sometimes called the castle capital of the world, home to over 600 of them that we know of! 100 are still standing and available to visit and even get married in like the beautiful Fonmon Castle in the Vale of Glamorgan.

7. You’ll learn an incredible new language

Yes, the Welsh have their own language and it’s actually one of the oldest languages in Europe. It was spoken in Wales, Scotland and England when the Romans invaded in 43AD and it’s fantastically unique.

8. And some beautiful new names for your kids

Even Welsh kids are unique! After marrying your Welsh man or woman and if you decide to have kids, pick a Welsh name like Coed, Powell, Drystan, Griffith, Kimball, Iolo or Meredith.

9. The accent is just charming

Recognisable from across a pub, the Welsh accent is certainly endearing and probably what attracted you to your partner to start with. Their accents are often described as musical, which explains why so many fabulous musicians like Tom Jones derive from this fantastic spot.

10. Celebrate Valentine’s Day twice!

Yes – the Welsh have two days of love! On 25th January, celebrate St Dwynwen Day, the Welsh saint of lovers. Read up about this saint’s fantastic story too.
