Assuring you of a warm welcome, we invite you to experience a delightful 16th Century ambience with 21st Century style, comfort and convenience.
The Lion & Swan is a recently refurbished property, dating back to the 17th Century. We have lovingly restored its original charm and appeal, whilst opening new areas with their own character and atmosphere.
The Lion & Swan Lounge is situated in the oldest part of the building, steeped in history and interest, perfect for the quiet times during your day to catch up with friends and relatives.
Ristorante Leone is a contemporary Italian restaurant where most of your day will be held. Your ceremony will be within our indoor Terrace, comfortably holding up to 70 guests. After you are officially wed, you will dine in the restaurant, which is directly linked to the Terrace. Radley & Co is our live music cellar bar, this can be used for your evening reception (dependant on availability), or we can transform the Terrace into the perfect party venue.
Our bespoke bedrooms have been meticulously designed for ultimate comfort and enjoyment. Yours will be a choice of our two Signature rooms and the stay will be with our compliment, to congratulate you on your special day.
You will meet with our dedicated wedding coordinator and receive a full tour of our magnificent venue, accompanied with a glass of Champagne of course. You will have the chance to review the menu for your Wedding Breakfast with our Head Chef and we will invite you to dine with our compliments for you to taste your dishes and sample the wine selections.
With your specifications, we will organise your Bridal Bouquet, Corsages for 3 guests, table flower decorations and buttonholes for the Groom and Best Man. We will arrange your wedding cake from a choice of three beautiful designs.

Say Hi to Jess! Jess has been with the company for years now, starting as a senior server at our sister hotel (The Wheatsheaf) and gaining a management position with the opening of The Lion & Swan. Jess has great experience with our bars, managing events and has a fantastic attention to detail.
