Wedding Dress Designer Liv Lundelius
Liv Lundelius, a German fashion designer, is launching her wedding dresses in the UK - for love.
"I studied fashion design in Berlin," explains Liv, "after my studies I went to New York City to work for other Labels before I decided to start my own business - if just feels natural to me, I realised I love being responsible, I love being my own boss. I love my job."
Blushless, as Liv described is "Avant-garde, Wild, Glamorous and Unique". With a young and fresh attitude to life - in her blog she describes herself as "wild at heart and weird on top!" Influenced by designers like Victor&Rolf, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen with music tastes from Kings of Leon to Mozart, individual is a word that springs to mind. "It's naughty, fun and sexy".
All of her designs are made from eco-friendly materials, "I design for fashionable, yet ethically conscious women. Everything is locally produced, I use Peace Silk from fair projects in India, as well as sustainably produced high-tech materials."
"Blushless is not about creating traditional gowns but instead it is about creating something unique and wonderful, for discerning, style-led individuals." Liv is something truly different, "I am less traditional and more open to interpretate the wedding theme in a modern context. Our relationships and roles within a marriage have changed."
"It's love and weddings - but without the cheese."
Why London I asked? "I will move for LOVE! I am in a long distance relationship, and after a year we finally decided that I, and Blushless will move to the UK." She's excited at the prospects of working with British women, "Women in the U.K. are definitely more interested in fashion and dressing up than in Germany. Different countries will always have different preferences in colours and styles."
Mia Florentine Weiss, a German actress and model, wore a Blushless dress to a gala event. "Blushless dresses are designed with a wedding in mind, but of course you can wear them to all special occasions and events. A lot of the designs can also be requested in different colours."
